Mudsoul Slave renders together an eclectic blend of classic, modern, and experimental rock into a style they have dubbed, "Modern Retro Rock."  The music invigerates the soul by reaching in and grabbing the listener with every note, every word, and every sound. 

A true emotionally driven band, the trio consists of some of independent music's heaviest hitters.  Lead singer, Cj Denecia brings his passionate and remarkable voice to the stage, pouring a very powerful blend of emotion and intellect behind every note sung.  Rising from the funked out rock coalition known as, "Elvis Ate My Goat," Cj yet again, proves his diversity and musical ability has no bounds.  Drummer and Percussionist, Gregg Gavitt takes the groups powerful sound a step further by providiing his unquestionable talent and style behind the set.  Extending his talents beyond the super group "Suede Pudding," Gregg's drumming is another defining sound in the over all atmosphere that Mudsoul Slave provides the listener.  Gregg also seconds his talent as the groups fantastic and groove driven bass player.  Guitarist, Stephen Lancaster brings all these elements full circle with his powerful, emotional, and melodic sound.  Best known from his band, "Phantom Music Box," Stephen's guitars complete this very eclectic and polished band.

Mudsoul Slave is currently engulfed in composing their debut album.  Over the past year, the band has released 5 singles, all receiving critical acclaim from many voices in the independent music world.  Songs like "See Ya Later," and "Meditate" really bring out the bands ability to get the senses jumping with a powerful rock feel, catchy hooks and phrases, and overall tight sound.  But they don't stop there.  Tracks such as, "Missing Judas" with its tear jerking guitar parts, passionate vocals and strong, emotional lyrical content, "Lover" with its flawless vocal harmonies, and heart crushing melodies really take the listener into the minds and soul of this artist.  But, they don't stop there.  The song, "Better Day," will take you one a journey into a groove and zone like no other.  Mudsoul Slave is truly one of the independent music worlds' most talented and powerful bands.
